That doesn\u2019t mean we\u2019re against denominations or traditions. Instead, it means we recognize the richness of many Christian traditions, but we don\u2019t want to be defined\u2014or divided\u2014by denominational lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:23px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For centuries, churches have been marked by denominational labels: Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, and more. Each of these streams carries strengths and insights. But too often, these \u201cboxes\u201d have also divided the body of Christ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:27px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A post-denominational church is committed to something different:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Unity in the essentials<\/strong>: We anchor ourselves in the historic Christian faith\u2014centered on Jesus Christ, the authority of Scripture, and the Great Commission.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Freedom in the secondary<\/strong>: We seek to learn from the best of various traditions without being bound by their structures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Focus on mission<\/strong>: We believe God\u2019s call is bigger than any one denomination\u2014it\u2019s about bringing His kingdom here and now.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, we\u2019re not trying to start something \u201cnew\u201d so much as return to something&nbsp;<strong>ancient and true<\/strong>: the Church as a united people following Jesus together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:34px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We invite you to join us at Grace River Fellowship, where our heartbeat is simple:<br>\ud83d\udc49&nbsp;<strong>Love God.
