Our Story

Our Story

Every church has a story—and ours is just beginning.

Grace River Fellowship was born out of a deep conviction that God is calling His people to unity around the essentials of the faith and to mission in our community. We believe that Jesus is still building His Church, and He has called us to plant one here in Washington, Indiana.

A Journey of Grace

In 2021, Pastor Luke Stone experienced a life-changing battle with COVID-19. After spending months in the hospital and facing the reality of death, God restored his life and gave him a renewed vision: to proclaim the gospel with clarity and urgency.

That experience reshaped everything—life, ministry, and calling. It became clear that God was leading Luke and his family to Washington, not by chance, but by divine appointment.

Why Washington?

Washington is a growing and diverse community with many faithful churches, yet we believe God has called Grace River Fellowship to contribute something unique: a post-denominational church that emphasizes the essentials of the gospel, while bringing people together who might otherwise be divided by denominational lines.

Our heart is to create a place where:

  • The Word of God is faithfully preached.
  • Worship is passionate and Christ-centered.
  • People encounter authentic community.
  • The gospel overflows from the church into the city.

Looking Ahead

As a new church plant, we’re not just starting services—we’re building a family of faith from the ground up. We believe the Lord has planted us here for such a time as this, and we invite you to be part of the story He is writing.

👉 Our vision is simple: Love God. Love people. Live the gospel.
